California Privacy Request

Last updated: May 13, 2026

This page is for California residents who want to exercise rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). See the Privacy Policy for the full description of your rights.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

Airo Mail does not sell your personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under CCPA / CPRA. We do not run ad networks, we do not allow third parties to use your email data for their own purposes, and we do not engage in cross-context behavioral advertising.

Because there is no sale or share to opt out of, this page is the link the CCPA requires us to provide. There is nothing to toggle off — the answer is already no.

We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal. When your browser indicates GPC (via the Sec-GPC: 1 request header or navigator.globalPrivacyControl), we treat the session as opted out of sale and sharing, disable non-essential analytics for the session, and apply the same opt-out to any future processing that might fall in scope. You do not need to do anything else.

Submit a Request

You can exercise any of these California rights:

  • Right to know what personal information we have collected, the categories of sources, the business purposes, and any disclosures.
  • Right to delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to limit the use of sensitive personal information.
  • Right to opt out of sale or sharing (we do not sell or share — submitting this still creates a record).
  • Right to non-retaliation for exercising these rights.

Email privacy@airo.email with the subject line “California Privacy Request” and include:

  1. Your full name and the email address associated with your Airo account.
  2. Which right(s) you wish to exercise.
  3. Any context that will help us locate the relevant Personal Data (for example, additional mailbox addresses you have connected).
  4. If you are submitting through an authorized agent, written proof of authorization.

A web form will appear on this page once available; in the meantime email is the canonical channel and creates the same audit record on our side.

What Happens Next

  1. We acknowledge receipt within 10 business days.
  2. We verify your identity using your account email; for deletion or correction requests we may require an additional verification step proportionate to the sensitivity of the data.
  3. We provide a substantive response within 45 days of receipt, as required by Cal. Civ. Code §1798.130. We may extend by one additional 45 days where reasonably necessary, in which case we will notify you of the extension and the reason within the initial 45-day window. The total response time will never exceed 90 days from receipt.
  4. There is no cost. We may decline manifestly unfounded or excessive requests; if we do, we will tell you why and how to appeal.

Authorized Agents

You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We will require written proof of your authorization (a signed letter or a power of attorney) and may contact you directly to verify the request.

Minors

If you are under 16 and a California resident, we will not sell or share your personal information without your affirmative consent. We do not currently sell or share any user’s personal information.
